Mindfulness Meditation

A gentle introduction to mindfulness meditation that will explore the various methodologies of learning to spend quality time in the present. This course is open to absolute beginners as well as students looking to refresh their practice in a supportive, gentle group.

We explore several mindful activities each class including body scanning, mindful img_7839movement and breath awareness. Students are supported to begin a daily practice at home with time for discussion in each class.

Students are either lying supported on the floor or sitting in chairs so those with limited mobility are very welcome. A variety of props are available, including chairs, to ensure participation is comfortable.

Suitable for people of all abilities, including those with mobility issues.

Mindfulness of Body Meditation (15min audio)

Silent Space Meditation

An opportunity and space to practise quiet meditation with like minded people. There is 30 – 45 minutes of silent meditation, either sitting or lying, followed by a meditation chat and tea if you have time to stay. Casual attendance welcome during school terms. This format usually suits students with some meditation experience but it is not essential. If you’ve never meditated before but are keen to give it a go, come and join us. There is no charge.
